For a normal fresh application, you primarily need proof for TWO things: Address and Date of Birth. If you want the Non-ECR status (no empathy clearance required), you need a third educational document.

Non-ECR Proof (Emigration Check)
To avoid hassle at airports for jobs in ECR countries (like Gulf countries), you should get "Non-ECR" status. Provide ONE of these:
- Matriculation (10th) or Higher Education Certificate
- 3 Years Income Tax Return (ITR) Proof
- Stay of over 3 years abroad
- Dependent children/spouse of Non-ECR passport holders
Documents for Minors (< 18 Yrs)
Essential Documents
- 1. Birth Certificate (Mandatory)
- 2. Parents' Passport Copy (Front & Back)
- 3. Aadhaar Card (if available)
Special Note
If parents hold valid passports, the address mentions in the parent's passport is accepted as the minor's address proof, and police verification is often waived off.
Important: Annexure 'D' is required to be signed by both parents.
Re-issue / Renewal
Required when validity expires, pages exhausted, or details change.
