How to Apply: The 6-Step Process
Online Registration
Start your Passport Seva journey by visiting the official portal. Create a user ID with your email. This account is your gateway to all services.
Application Filling
Login and select "Apply for Fresh/Re-issue Passport". Fill the form with extreme care—match details exactly with your documents to avoid Passport Seva rejection.
Payment & Slot Booking
Online payment is mandatory. Once paid, the system lets you choose a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) appointment slot convenient for you.
PSK Visit
Arrive at the PSK on time. Carry original documents. The officers will verify details and capture your biometrics (fingerprints & iris scan).

Proof of Address

- Registered Rent Agreement (1 year+)

Under the Tatkaal scheme, passports are dispatched within 1-3 days post-approval. Police verification often happens after the passport is issued.
Eligibility Check
You need to provide 3 documents from the list of 13 specific documents (like Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, etc.) for Tatkaal. Not everyone qualifies (e.g., people with adverse police reports). Always check the "Document Advisor" on the official portal.
